
Greetings, Tribe!
At the end of 2023, a friend asked me what my word was for 2024. I haven’t done a word for the year in a while, but I liked the inspiration to do so for this year. It took about 6 weeks of pondering and then it hit me: Nourish
If I’m being completely honest, I’m burned out. My cup is empty. My oxygen mask is not on, but everyone else’s is. I’m surviving, but most certainly am not thriving.
This word was chosen so that I can start to change things for the better. So that I can start truly living!
I made a list. A list of the things that I forgot I love doing and want to do more:
- Read
- Go to a book store and leisurely peruse the aisles
- Run with friends
- Go out more. Period.
- Run more races.
- Travel
- Yoga
- Enjoy the fresh air (and not just while running)
- Go to live concerts, plays/musicals, ballet
- Try new restaurants and new food
- Cook more new recipes. And not just the quick, mid-week recipes, but good Sunday dinner recipes
- Enjoy good wine, not just the cheap and easy Winking Owl from Aldi (yes, I’m holding my head in shame as I write this)
- Enjoy good coffee, not just the cheap and easy coffee from Aldi (yes, I am again holding my head in shame as I write this)
What am I forgetting on my list??
